What are wax melts and how do they work?

Wax melts are scented pieces of soy wax that you warm in a wax burner. As they melt, they release beautiful fragrance into your space - no flame or wick required. Learn how to use wax melts →

How strong is the scent throw?

Very! I use a high concentration of fragrance oil for a long-lasting, room-filling scent. Most customers say they get multiple uses from a single segment.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes - every wax melt, spray, disc and powder I make is vegan-friendly and not tested on animals.

What are your wax melts made from?

I use natural soy wax and high-quality fragrance oils. All products are CLP compliant and made in small batches by hand in Liverpool.

What's that white stuff on my wax melts?

Sometimes a white layer can appear on soy wax melts. Frosting is a completely natural process in soy wax and can sometimes appear as a white or cloudy pattern on the surface. It does not affect fragrance strength or how the wax melt performs.

🕯️ Hoover Disc Questions

Do hoover discs fit all vacuum cleaners?

No. Hoover discs are not suitable for all vacuum models. Vacuum designs vary, so it’s important to check there is enough space before purchasing.

Where should I place a hoover disc?

Hoover discs work best when placed next to a soft sponge or foam filter, where airflow can gently release the fragrance while you vacuum.

Will hoover discs work in cordless vacuums?

Not always. Many cordless and newer vacuum models (including some Dyson models) have very limited internal space and may not safely accommodate a disc.

What if my vacuum doesn’t have space for a disc?

If there isn’t enough room, do not force the disc into the vacuum. Forcing it may affect airflow or prevent the vacuum from closing properly.

Does the brand of vacuum matter?

Compatibility depends on the design of the vacuum, not the brand. Some older or traditional models are more suitable than compact or modern designs.

Will using a hoover disc damage my vacuum?

When placed correctly and only in suitable models, hoover discs are safe to use. Always ensure airflow is not restricted and the vacuum closes as intended.

Where are you based?

I hand-pour everything in Liverpool, UK.

How long will my order take to arrive?

All orders are usually dispatched within 2-3 working days. You’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details once your order is on the way. Pre-orders and Subscription Boxes have a set dispatch date, view the product details and you'll also receive an email with more information.

Delivery usually takes 2–4 working days once posted.

What if my order arrives damaged or incomplete?

Please contact me at care@chandlerswaxmelts.co.uk within 48 hours and I’ll sort it for you as quickly as possible.

Do you offer local collection or delivery?

Not at the moment - everything is sent via Royal Mail or courier from my workspace.

How do I use your wax melts?

Can I use these in any wax burner?

Yes - my melts work in both electric and tealight wax burners. Just make sure the dish is the right size and never overfill. They don't perform well in Scentsy or wall-plug-in warmers, as these often don't get hot enough to melt and fully release the fragrance.

How long does each melt last?

One snapbar segment will usually give you 6-8 hours of strong scent. Once the fragrance fades, just replace it with a fresh piece.

Are your products safe to use around pets?

While my melts are non-toxic and pet-friendly when used properly, always use them in well-ventilated areas and never leave pets unsupervised near open burners. I have a blog post regarding this here.
