How do I choose my scent?

You can choose any scent you like, but think about the effect you want to create. Consider what kind of mood you want to set. Do you want to relax after a busy day? Then try something containing lavender, such as my Lavender Marshmallow. Or do you love fresh scents to complement a lovely clean home? Try something from my Fresh & Clean Collection.

Maybe you need something uplifting to keep you focussed? Fruity scents are brilliant to lift your mood and re-energise you – see mine here. Or maybe there's a particular scent that you want to recreate, such as your favourite perfume? I have a huge range here.

Fragrances are often associated with certain emotions. For example, rose has been known to help calm anxiety, while citrus scents can help to lift your mood.

Also think about where you are burning the scent. Choose relaxing scents for bedrooms and bathrooms, clean and fresh scents for kitchens and nostalgic or cosy scents for living rooms.

How to use your wax melts:

Simply place your wax melt on to a clean burner - I recommend one piece of a snapbar, or half a sample pot. Larger shapes or slabs need cutting in to pieces roughly 10g.

I recommend 4-hour tealights for glass or ceramic burners. For electric burners, my soy wax melts work best with 35-42w bulbs.

Then relax as your home is filled with stunning fragrance.

How long will my wax melts last?

How long the scent lasts will vary on a few factors. Room size is the main factor, larger rooms require more scent to fill them, so consider two burners for larger rooms or open-plan living spaces.

The other main factor is your burner. Smaller, closed burners will get much hotter, burning off the fragrance oil at a faster rate, but please do be careful and make sure to use a wax burner, not an oil burner.

How to clean your wax melt burner:

When you're done, extinguish your tealight or unplug your burner. You can continue to enjoy the same melt until the fragrance fades.
Allow the wax to cool slightly before removing with cotton wool or kitchen towel. Make sure your burner is clean and cool before using a new melt.
